Kathy discovered art as her calling early in life. She studied art throughout school and found the Japanese style of wood block printing her ideal medium. After having some successful art shows, she started her own business in 2005. She boldly uses strong color in her wood block prints and oil paintings. The animals she depicts in her artwork are fanciful and dreamlike and seem like they have jumped out of a fantasy. For everyday use, her collection of magnets, lapel pins and bookmarks are created using vintage book and magazine images. Kathy sells her works in the Seattle neighborhood of Capitol Hill during the summer months and in stores year round. Some of her artwork can be found at the Ventures Marketplace in Pike Place Market.
