Stemming from the arid region of Arizona, Kelli found herself enamored with the abundance of green in the Pacific Northwest, which inspired her to farm and forage. bedhead fiber sustainably forages and grows plants, mushrooms, and lichens that yield nontoxic and lush colors on locally sourced fiber and textiles. bedhead fiber also sells dye seeds! As a very tactile person, I started creating more than I could find use for. Learning about sustainability and toxic waste issues in the fashion and food industry inspired me to find ways to create and spread the word about the issues and create positive change. Our products are all sourced in the US with a focus on the Pacific Northwest. When specific dyes cannot be foraged or grown locally, we source directly from certified sustainable and fair trade farms. We believe that when you support farmers (food and fiber), you support the community and the environment.
