
Ramin Beheshti is a technology executive with a successful track record of leading technology across multiple business units worldwide. Previously, as Group Chief Product & Technology Officer for Dow Jones from January 2017 through February 2021, he led a staff of 650 people worldwide. He was responsible for global technology strategy, delivery and operations across all of the company’s customer facing products, including digital product development, software engineering, cloud infrastructure and information security.
Ramin is passionate in promoting product vision, strategy, design, and development across the C-Suite. He has shared that vision across a globally dispersed workforce and has consistently demonstrated the ability to connect technology to business outcomes. He has demonstrated advanced knowledge of data platforms, utilizing AI/ML and creating digital products that attract consumers and generate revenue. During his tenure at Dow Jones, Ramin overhauled legacy technology, successfully migrating 80% of the applications to the cloud, he led the re-architecture and consolidation of the critical platforms that supported the customer facing products and he redesigned, reimagined and rebuilt over the course of 4 years all of the customer facing products from WSJ.com through to the rapidly growing risk & compliance offerings.
Previously, Ramin served as Chief Information Officer at Dow Jones, where he enabled the organization’s digital growth agenda, leading an enterprise technology transformation, including significant modernization of the platforms and infrastructure used by the global workforce. He joined Dow Jones from News UK, where he was Head of Product for The Times and The Sunday Times, driving digital product development and delivery. Ramin worked at News Corp for 9 years, where he was promoted to various roles of increasing responsibility and scope.
Ramin is an active investor in a number of early stage start-ups and is currently on the board for Project Explorer, a non for profit organization that creates multimedia curriculum for teachers in the US to help provide education for children in other cultures. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Warwick, UK and started his career at Deloitte Consulting.
