
Vik Pant, PhD, Partner, One Analytics, PwC Canada
Vik is a Partner in the Data and Analytics practice where he focuses on client value realization through the creative and innovative application of Data Science and AI.
Prior to joining PwC, Vik served as the Chief Scientist and Chief Science Advisor for Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), a federal ministry within the Government of Canada.
Previous to NRCan, Vik held progressively strategic field and corporate roles in global software firms including SAP, Oracle, and Open Text.
Vik is also an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Information (iSchool) at the University of Toronto and the Department of Geography, Environment, and Geomatics at the University of Ottawa.
He is also the Founder of the Synthetic Intelligence Forum, which is a leading community-of-practice on applied AI and data science for researchers and industry professionals.
Vik earned a doctorate from the Faculty of Information (iSchool) in the University of Toronto where his thesis was unanimously accepted by the examination committee As-Is and without any changes, a master’s degree in business administration with distinction from the University of London, a master’s degree in information technology from Harvard University, where he received the Dean’s List Academic Achievement Award, and an undergraduate degree in business administration from Villanova University.
